How we source state information
State law summaries are compiled from publicly available government sources — state attorney general opinions, state police licensing pages, and enacted statutes. Summaries were last reviewed for accuracy this quarter. Laws change frequently; always confirm with your state's issuing authority before acting.
What our quiz does and does not do
The eligibility quiz is a plain-English summary tool. It does not approve, pre-approve, or qualify you for a permit. Only your state or local licensing authority can determine eligibility and issue a permit.
