How It Works

A few short questions, then a straight answer.

GoConcealedCarry is an informational site. We summarize your state's carry rules in plain English and show you which states honor which permits, so you can decide what you actually need. Free, no signup.

  1. 1

    Tell us your state

Enter a ZIP code or tap your state on the map. Carry law is written state by state, so everything after this depends on where you are.

  2. 2

    Answer a few short questions

We ask about federal eligibility, what you want a permit for, how often you cross state lines, and what has held you back. Your answers stay in your browser and are used only to tailor what we show you.

  3. 3

Get your summary and the coverage map

You get a plain-English summary of your state's rules and a map showing which states honor a non-resident permit and which do not. We show the states it does not cover on purpose.

  4. 4

    Decide for yourself

If a non-resident permit fits your situation, we point you to our clearly labeled advertising partner, RushMyConceal, who prepares that application 100% online. If your own state's permit is the better answer, we say so.

What we are not: GoConcealedCarry is not a government agency and does not issue permits. Only a state can issue a concealed carry permit. We cannot approve, pre-approve, or qualify you for one, and nothing on this site is legal advice.
